Welcome   Greetings from the Roland Rogers School Family!  Roland Rogers Elementary School is a productive, successful Professional Learning Community where the faculty, staff, parents and the administration work collaboratively to increase student achievement, challenge our students academically, build good citizenship and recognize the cultural diversity of the school.   We are eager to continue delving further into the educational programs we have been used to enhance student learning and citizenship such as; The Morning Academic Support program, Bullying Busting lessons, The Good Citizen program, STARRs, Anti-Bullying Awareness activities, the Roland Reads and Roland Reads, Jr. Programs.  There were 106 Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd & 3rd grade students who participated in the Roland Reads, Jr. Program.  Once again, ALL of our 4th, 5th & 6th grade students participated in the Roland Reads program reading a total of 1,989 books independent and during our Friday Book Clubs!  Academically, Roland Rogers’ continues to make great strides toward increasing student achievement. With a 95% participation rate, Roland’s 2015 PARCC results show that 52.9% of the ELA standards and 51.9% of Math standards were met.  Overall, our students are meeting and / or exceeding the PARCC consortium expectations. At Roland Rogers, we pride ourselves on working towards providing a bully-free climate, collaborative relationships with parents and providing an environment where students are important and taught the value of hard work and charity.   Our students have eagerly participated in many fundraising event which have supported various charitable organizations such as; Heart Association, JDRF, Leukemia & Lymphoma, Beacon Church’s food drive, Let Us Eat Food Program, The Atlantic City Rescue Mission and, in 2016,  we raised over $18,000 for  St. Baldrick’s Children’s Cancer Research Foundation! We look forward to continuing our academic and social successes – but we cannot accomplish this by ourselves, we need YOU, our parents!  Our parents and community volunteers play an enormous role in the success our school so please get involved and help us help your child succeed!
