  Greetings from the Roland Rogers School Family!  Roland Rogers Elementary School is a productive, successful Professional Learning Community where the faculty, staff, parents and the administration work collaboratively to increase student achievement, challenge our students academically, build good citizenship and recognize the cultural diversity of the school.   We are eager to continue delving further into the educational programs we have been used to enhance student learning and citizenship such as; The Morning Academic Support program, Bullying Busting lessons, The Good Citizen program, STARRs, Anti-Bullying Awareness activities, the Roland Reads and Roland Reads, Jr. Programs.  There were 106 Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd & 3rd grade students who participated in the Roland Reads, Jr. Program.  Once again, ALL of our 4th, 5th & 6th grade students participated in the Roland Reads program reading a total of 1,989 books independent and during our Friday Book Clubs!    Read More>

Places to Enjoy during the Summer Imagination Station Patriot Lake Forsythe Wildlife Refuge Historic Smithville: See a Car Cruise every other Friday night from 5:00 – 8:00pm, and don’t forget the Fourth of July Parade! Historic Batsto Village Estell Manor Park (Mays Landing) Birch Grove Park (Northfield) Cape May County Zoo (Cape May Court House: So much to do at the zoo! Meet a Beekeeper on Saturdays in the summer, do Yoga in the Zoo, or spend a Night Out with the Critters) The Marine Mammal Stranding Center (Brigantine: Tickets now available for "Dancing with the Dolphins 2017", August 3 at 6:00pm – see details here ) The Atlantic City Aquarium (Gardener's Basin, Atlantic City: Visit them for a stingray feeding - 12:00 & 3:00pm daily!) Lucy the Elephant (Margate) The Absecon Lighthouse (Atlantic City: Check out "Wacky Wednesdays" at the Lighthouse; 11:00am - 3:00pm on July 5, 12, 19 & 26 - August 2, 9, 16; and Monday, August 7 is National Lighthouse Day - Kids Climb Free!)
